Polletaise was originally bought by a British owner for off shore racing and took part in several races like Fastnet race. The last owner bought this Swan 1985 in Toulon France and have restored and improved the boat since 2001, now full safety and equipped to even make ocean passes.
Toilet is changed to an electrical pump version connected to a septic tank 30L , water-maker Katadyn 40E installed for making 5L freshwater per hour (2006). Gas cooking place with oven(2005). Two diesel tanks of each 100L installed in the front, A second battery installed in the front. Electrical bilge pumps installed. One extra pump for the anchor chain compartment. All windows changed to Lewmar windows. Front hatch changed. One refrigerator with external compressor. Original fridge, placed besides the sink, was made for ice blocks was changed to cooling with external 2nd compressor. Control column with steering wheel was changed and rudder blade with attachments was revised. Life lines from stern to aft.
Rigging and sails, boom and standing rigging wires changed. Mast was mowed from going through the cabin roof, to be placed on the cabin roof and supported underneath by a stainless pipe. A guard rail is added around the mast. All lines for sails mowed to the cockpit and stoppers are added.
Body under waterline was treated twice
