Boat history

Do anybody konw where one can find information about the preowner and history of a S&S Swan? I'm intersted in the history of our Swan 65 SAIDA hull number 5.

If she has been registered for example in Britain there is a tonnage marking on board looking like this: O.N. 1234567 31 11/100. Based on the long number you can then ask the British Ship Register about the information they have.
If there are copies of Builder's and Tonnage Certificates on board they normally mention the Owners.

It is also suggested you look on the internet, particularly for regatta and brokerage information. I found some from 2006:

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I also checked the Internet but I did not found a lot of Information about SAIDA. We checkd also all documents on the boat but we did not found a lot about the history. But I will try with the number you mentioned. I am really curious about the "life" SAIDA had till know.

Dear Jürg,
as far as I know about 20 years ago a "Saida" was owned by a German named Klaus Tröber. He runs a company in Hamburg. Maybe you can google him. Good luck!
