Swan 57 propellor shaft removal

 hi does any body know whether a propellor shaft will come out of a swan 57

it looks as though it will hit the skeg?

Dear Nakesa,

you usually have to disconnect the shaft from the engine, remove the cutlass bearing and prop, and at this point the shaft should be free to be pulled out and pass aside the skeg
