Strange fitting in saloon

Hi

Any one like to guess what was fitted to an area I found under teak strip in the saloon (both sides) of Snow Wolf (Swan 48)? I'm guessing it might have been something to do with centre point lift but looks like a post delivery fit as not been very neatly done.

Strange fitting both sides of saloon.

It appears that this installation was unique, and it can not be guessed what this has been.
Suggest you try to find out from previous owners.
