Polars Hi Folks, I am setting up Predict Wind for use on Stormsvale our 40 footer. I would like to use the routing option of PW. To do maximize its utility I need to program it with her polars. Does anyone have these or know where we could get them? Matteo or Lars, do we have a library of these for all of the models? Mike from Stormsvale |

Dear Mike ORC International rating certificates contain VPP information, which is the base for polars, and would be helpful in your case, but they are approximate when not specifically for your boat.
Certificate copies can be freely downloaded from ORC Sailor Service, but at the moment there is no active S40 certificate published, this means that no S40 has a valid ORC certificate.
There are four passive S40 certificates visible, and ORC offers the possibility to run a test certificate for one of these for a small fee, but their measurements may not reflect those of your own boat.
If you would like to have precise polars specifically for your own boat, you need to order full ORC measurement of your boat, and then the optional polars for her.
