Insurance

Does anyone know a good incurance company which can cover a Swan 57 on the N Atlantoc Cirquit (Canaries, Caribbean, Azores, Med.

I have checked:

TopSail (can only quote less than a month before effective, expensive)

Pantaenius (costly, waiting for a quote)

Paul L'Ortye (waiting for a quote)

 

Any other good ideas?

Dear Mats,

when asking a quote to Pantaenius don't forget to mention you are a Member of the S&S Swan Association, they have an agreement with us and our Members are entitled to a dedicated quotation.

You could try Coleman Marine Insurance in UK, they were very helpful and competively priced when I insured my boat.

After years and years with Pantaenius (never claimed a penny for any kind of accident), I moved to this very interesting and serious company:

Dear Mats

we have been with Pantaenius ever since we bought Kairos 57/043) in 2017.

They have been very good and helpful, easy to communicate with. We had one claim (engine room fire) in 2019 and they dealt with it very fast and effiently. Premium staid pretty much the same the following year. Suppose that is what you need and (ideally) expect your insurance to do.

Also dealt with Pantaenius when another boat that was insured with them ran into Kairos, only minor damage done but same then - communications and settlement could not have been better.

They also seem very accommodating with regards to cover - we are going to sail outside our usual region this season and will only pay for the additional cover pro rata per day that we will actually sail in the additional region.
