Swan 38 steering ram

Hello all!  
Our old B&G ram has finally given up and can't be restored.  Does anyone have ideas about replacement?  Many modern rams are too long to fit into the space allowed.  Any thoughts infinitely welcome.  Fair winds.....

Any leads on your autopilot situation? I have a "new to me" Swan 38 that I want to add an autopilot to.

Hello John, Sue and Jon,

10 years ago we installed an Autohelm 6000 Liniar in our SWAN 38 Jacaranda. The space is very limited, but with some modifications, it was possible to fix it in the space available. The system has been working perfeckly. If you need some pictures  from the installation, I can send the in a couple of days.

Hello John and Sue, 

On Madeleine, 38/087, there is a Raymarine Type 2S. It fits nicely (upside down).
