S&S Swan General - Parts for companionway ladder

Parts for companionway ladder

Hi All,

Currently in the process of renovating the companionway ladder on my 41'. I believe the ladder originally had a white, metal framed, plastic step fitted on each of the steps of the ladder. I got the frames but the pastic is missing. The frames are not marked in anyway that reveals make or manufacturer. If anyone can tell me what this is and if / where replacemens can be sourced, it would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Andreas,

unforunately these parts are now dismissed, you have to buy a piece of rubber (e.g. treadmaster) and cut to be fitted, or, which is what I did on my previous S&S Swan (38/067) is to have them in teak (see photo)

That looks really nice. Did you have the frames re-chromed?

No, did not need, but if you need to re-chrome is easy and extremely cheap.

Hi Andreas,

 

I see Toplicht in Germany is still selling similar plates and you can choose black or white. They also sell only the inlays.

I thought SVB in Germany also sold them but cannot find it anymore SVB | Online shop for yacht and boat equipment (svb24.com). Those where more rectangular.
