Dinner in Pietarsaari, 21st July 2012
Dear S&S Swan Ass. Members,

we are organizing a dinner in Pietarsaari on July 21st, at the Yacht Club. A few old Nautor Shipwrights (and of course "The Professor" Lars Strom) are likely to attend the dinner.

During the day, if Nautor will give us permission, we'll visit a few of the old locations, where our beloved Sparkman&Stephens Swans were born.

More details will follow soon.

In order to have estimation for the dinner I would like to know how many S&S Swan Association Members would like to be part of the meeting.

This sounds like another wonderful event like the visit to the S&S offices and the NYYC in New York City. We are interested in visiting the Nautor facility and would appreciate additional details before we commit to travel plans.

the only way is to fly to Helsinki and then to Kokkola (or drive from Helsinki to Pietarsaari, but that's a long way).

Dear All,

please keep in mind Kokkola airport is going to be closed from July 25th to 27th due to some major runway upgrade, so when you are planning your trip just be sure you leave before that date!

Hi matteo according to its website Kokkola airport will be closed from late June until July 27th! Any other airports close or from where would you drive and how long would it take? Tks mark

Dear S&S Swan Ass. Members,

At the time of our Pietarsaari meeting, the nearest functioning airport is Vaasa Airport. Its is located ca. 100 km SW from Pietarsaari. The drive from Vaasa to Pietarsaari takes about 1,5 hours. On Friday, July 20th, there are three flights from Helsinki to Vaasa departing at 13.00, 18.15 and 23.59. (http://www.helsinki-vantaa.fi/timetables/timetable-search)

Travelling by car from Helsinki to Pietarsaari takes 6-7 hours, and by train 4-5 hours.

If I can be of assistance, please let me know.
