Swan 38 ORC Certificate
Did anyone have ORC cert for Swan 38?
Is it difficult to have in Italy?
How much time?
Is it annual?

Thanks

Dear Kidogo
Suggest that you contact the Chief Measurer in Italy, he should be able to answer your questions.
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Enzo,

For reference, here are a few examples of ORC certificate of Swan 38:

I would like to have your help about IRC certificate.

We are planning to participate to the swan cup 2014 ni Porto Cervo. The last participation of RUMTRADER was in 2000 and I have a NSR2000 certificate on board. The boat is Belgium and based in Marmaris. I contacted and IRC measurement organisation in Turkey and they say they have to measure the boat fully. This will cost 450€ not included the certification charge by IRC (around 350€). This is for a "not endorsed certificate". If we need this kind of certificate then it will be more expensive.
Questions:
* why do we need to (re) measure the boat, would a measure table standart for 47 type MK2 exist? Could we share it?
* For the Porto Cervo racing do we need an endorsed rating or not?
* In the instruction for the YCC I see that there will weight the boats, will they weight all the boat?

Sorry for these perhaps very simple questions, I am probably more expert in reparing a sliding hatch than on racing rules. I realy look forward at meeting the S&S group in Porto Cervo.

Dera Ludovic,

contact Federazione Italiana Vela in Rome, Ing. riccardo Provini is the responsible, a more intelligent man than the Turkey, and sure he will help you getting at the end of this matter (and by the way much more cheaper)
