Polishing hull

Hi guys,

Summer season is coming. Polishing hull is one of the most common work in this period. I’d like to try to do it myself this year.

I’ve started looking for a paste and a marine polish, I’ve found many products but I don’t know which is the best. Which one do you use?

Do you have any advice?

Thanks,

Vittorio

Dear Vittorio,

I usually clean very well the hull with with a microfiber cloth and a specific soap (e.g. Awl Wash, which is very good even on gelcoat topsides), then I polish it with 3M Fiberglass Restorer and Wax with cotton flocks, and a lot of elbow grease!

The result is very good!

Have fun, and Fair winds!

Dear Matteo,

"Only You" looks new!  What a beauty!  I am years away, but getting closer and I have a benchmark for success- "Only You!"
