Swan 38 front cabin original parts
Dear Friends,

I am sure that somebody can help me with my modest question...

I am wondering what could be the purpose for 3 clamps / fastening parts which can be found from the stb side storage box, pls see the picture.
They seem to be original and I am confident that they are there for some special purpose.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Esko H.,

Dear Esko,

there should be a spare Danforth anchor blocked by the three hooks.

I'll check the first time I am onboard and will tell you which weight exactly (about 30 lbs)

Fair winds!

Esko,

I believe they are made to house the battens of the main sail......original...thou as battens are much longer now a day...for sure.....
But might be wrong... On mine this is where I store the ones of an old sail which is folded in this particular compartment..
Matteo's explanation makes sense as well.

Dear Esko,

as Matteo said: they are fittings for the second anchor. I will take a picture when I am on board again.

All the best,

Toni
