Near rudder failure

I have received some good advice from this forum, and thought I might share my latest experience with what must have been a badly performed repair before I purchased Swante. I have Swante on the hard and deceided to drop the rudder in order to inspect the status, and found what can be seen on uploaded pics. There was corrosion, and one of the lower brackets that hold the rudder to the stock had come off at the weld. I contacted Lars - as most of us do when there is a problem - and he - as he always does- came up with an explanation of what had caused this and detailed instructions on how to do the repair. Very glad I made this check before the next passage in the spring. Might be a suggestion for others?
