Oval wood item – where to fit?
I have found this wooden item on-board but where should it go?

It have a perfect shape for the mast but is on top of the floorboards? That would obstruct the ease of getting access to the bilge.

Any comments are welcome.

Kind Regards

Bjorn

Dear Bjorn

it sounds this is not original piece of furniture, but a very nice one.

I think it is for the roof (my opinion), instead of the GRP original one

Thank you for your reply.

It seems not to fit for the roof.
I have the normal white plastic cover for that.

What would we do without Lars' wisdom?

Hi to everybody,
Sorry but I have a different opinion; it's the mast ring cover of the floorboard. It's a mask to avoid that something could jump into the bilge as well to cover the sight of the bilge area that's not so nice.

To reach the bilge you just have to lift forcing small thorns plugged in the floorboard.
In my 44 is like that.

Bjorn, when we will meet in Beaulieu we can talk about many details.

Dear Alberto
Thank you for the information,
I have seen it on the top of the table, this means that there are other people than me not knowing where to put it.
How many member 44s have this ring?
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Andrey
Thank you for the information. How big is the mast hole in the table - are you supposed to move the table when the mast is moved?
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Lars
The hole in the table is exactly to fit the mast, but it's two pieces: one table and one piece which second part of the table what slide inn. Under table we have two plates with holes to attach the table to floorboards, this plates have many holes to change position of the table when u tune the mast. And normally this oval piece stay every time on the floorboards and move with must back and front to close hole in the floorboards because hole in original floorboards has longer oval.
Kind regards
