Floor Board Fasteners
I would like to know what type and size of fastener was used to screw the floor boards down. The boat is a Swan 40 number 9. At some point all the fasteners were removed, probably to varnish to floor boards and none put back.

Thanks,
Alan

Dear Alan
Locked floorboards is an offshore racing requirement, and probably was not an original installation.
Are there holes left in the floorboards and the structure below? They could give hints.
Threaded screws could be used, but there are quick opening options, like DZUS fittings, or Floor Anchor from PYI.
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Professor,

Thank you for your reply. The floor boards with lift rings were not screwed down, but all the others, mostly off to the side have countersunk holes for screws. I will attempt to determine the size as you suggested. I have been thinking of fastening the other boards down as well and will explore the brands you suggested.

Regards,
Alan
