S&S Swan Maintenance - Swan 38 Rudder bearings.

Swan 38 Rudder bearings. Hi. Is it possible to replace the top rudder bearing, where it goes through the deck, without dropping the rudder. Has anyone got a drawing of the bearing / rudder assembly. Thanks Nige

Dear Nige Suggest that you remove the deck fitting, the upper bearing sleeve will come out at the same time. Assume you intend to replace the sleeve, do not use nylon or materials which swell when absorbing moisture. The recommended material is denoted POM. Kind regards Lars
