Borg Warner gear

Would anyone know identification detail on original Borg Warner Velvet Hurth gearbox,  connected to Perkins 4.108. (1978) Its for checking oil specification and also oil level on dipstick.

Assume you mean the type notation, it is Velvet Drive AS15-71CR. 
There should be a manufacturer plate.

I have both the Service and Owner's manuals of the BW Velvet Drive transmission and if you want I can send them to you.  I think that they are also in the manual section of this site and I will check with Matteo.

There is a pipe plug with a square head on the port side about in the middle . It has a dip stick attached. Use automatic transmission  fluid
