Swan 47 CB, sheave on the centerboard

Dear S&S Swan 47 CB Owners,

from time to time  please check  the sheave on the lifting point of your S&S Swan, there may be a galvanic corrosion which eroded the shaft. It happened on my 57/069 Vanessa.

It is very easy and inexpensive to replace the shaft and the sheave, provided the boat is ashore of course!

Of course there is a galvanic problem (see the daggerboard) which is now under surveillance and resolved during the next winter.

You can see the sheave is not aligned anymore with the shaft because of the corrosion of this one
