Swan 37 to the Professor Dear Lars Can you tell me how the teak toe rail is bolted on a 37.Because I had seen one made in 1972 with the outside of the teak worn and you can see wooden brass screws coming from the inside of the hull to deck junction there is one screw every 30 cm.Apart of that the rail is bolted . Many thanks Y.Boucher |

Dear Mr Boucher The teak rail is bolted through the hull to deck joint, and the bolt spacing can be determined by locating the dowels (wooden plugs) closing the bolt holes along the upper edge of the rail. The hull to deck joint has smaller screws at another spacing, they are covered by the rail, and are possibly visible from the underside Kind regards Lars |
