Spade anchor

Dear Friends,

Is there anyone with a spade anchor on the original anchor rol?

I would like to buy one, because of the excellent test results, but not sure if it will fit?

Hello Jan,

yes, I do have a Spade anchor on Lianda, ( Swan 57 CB ketch) .

lt is an excellent anchor, fits well on the bow, just be careful retrieving it as it comes up sometimes in the wrong way.

Cheers,

Marc

Dear Marc,

Thank you very much.

Although 57 feet is a bit more then 38 feet (🙂), I think basically the 57 is the same shape as the 38. And perhaps the rake of the bow of the 38 makes it even easier?

kind regards,

jan

Hello, this is how it fits on a 41! We are really happy with this anchor when used in the sand. As you will see on the pictures we have been adding two pieces on the chain guide for the anchor to rest against. (Hope I am clear!!)

All the best.

Just bought a Spade X140 for Snow Wolf (Swan 48) based on very good recommendation from friends who used one for five years living aboard in the Caribbean. Don't know if it fits yet but I took a chance!
