Help needed with drain plug from hull on SWAN 44, 1972/2, please.

I want to ask for help, please.

During the Storage of KIPRIDA I remove the plug(male part) for water drain, I want to live plug on the boat, but with local COVID distractions in St Kits they are not let me do it, so I took the plug with me in my check inn bag. Anfotunetly it get lost, o don't know how. Now I need to get KIPRIDA back, but I don't have plug, the boat yard splash boat and you must live with a boat imideatly.

So, can some one provide exact drawings for original drain plug(male part), or maybe some one have a spare one, please.

Dear Odiss

As far as I know the original drain plug is not available any more, and it is suggested that you make a new one of Delrin plastic POM.
Just the threaded male part, with an O-ring.
Kind regards
Lars

Guessing closest to you would be James Town Boat Yard

Hope that helps,

Dear Dan

Thank you very much for this information. I was told that the original drain plug is not available any more, and the replacement has different dimensions.
Maybe Odiss could order one, and tell the Forum if this is the case.
Kind regards
Lars

Hi Lars, Matteo,

No Problem at all.

We ordered our replacement from Nautor Spare Parts (x2).
They were received at the yard SYH. Who commented they stock the same item. Reference Classic Marine above in the UK.

I do not know yet if there is any difference in the dimensions unfortunately. Hopefully not.

Adrian Little with Cygnus 048 - Posted that his was replaced with James Town Boat Yard RI. (Image below)

The part is a labelled - "1852 Marine Quality" which appears to be a German company.
I had some correspondence with their distributor (kai.brandt@waterloft.de) who informed they would be back in stock Feb 2021.

Good to know there are still some options available.

Thanks,

Dan
