Master DC fuse? Swan 47

Hi,

My anchor windlass blew a fuse, which caused a total failure of the DC system. I have been told it is a fuse, but I don't know where it is or of what capacity.

Help?

Hi John,

did you check the Heinemann breaker on the electrical panel?

Dear John,

I don't know which one is in your panel, maybe if  the windlass was not installed in origin (the case of the old  S&S Swan 47 switch panel shown below) it is not a Heinemann breaker but a switch /fuse box somewhere else, e.g. (usually) where you have mast wind station connections (see second photo).

You have to follow the cables to find out.

Please keep us posted!

The breaker for the windlass on Mallemuk (47/045) is under the navigation table seat.

Picture is shown up side down. Unable to correct it.

I did not think to look at the lockers across from the mast!

Here are some pictures of what I do have:

Dear John,

well done! Now you have to find out why it blown away.

Could you please upload a pic of fuse location onboard?

It is in the cabinet under the main DC panel with the master DC disconnect. There are two covered fuse boxes with the fuses inside. The one that blew is 100 Amps.

The "bigger" picture is hard to see, but the two fuse boxes are to the right of the disconnect switch.
