Fairing the keel Every winter I am constantly repairing the fairing to the keel as the material currently being used has difficulty sticking to the stainless steel boot at the bottom of the keel and the trailing edge. Anybody had succes with making it stick?

John, I had some similar issues with my 37 and after discussing it with SP Systems I created a tent round the keel, heated it up,cut back all the old material and then applied a coat of sticky epoxy that they recommended and before that was competely cured started to rebuild the profile using micro balloons and then filler. It seemed to work. Gavin |

Hello John I had the same problem on Our 40/8. What I did was: In good (dry and above 8 celcius) weather sparkel with Hempel Epoxy filler one or several times with sanding in between. After dry out. The last sanding and 4 to 6 times Hempel Ligth Primer, you can do wet in wet, but the temp. must be high enough. Maby You will need to sand in between. Afterwards antifouling as normal WORKS Best Regards Kaj (Ophelia)
