2013 S&S Swan Rendez-vous
Dear S&S Swan Owners,

I know I am writing this thread before time (!), but I even know some S&S Swan owners from England, The Netherland (Philippe, may I even say Sweden...?) are looking forward to be part of the 2013 S&S Swan Rendez-vous.

Here some useful info:
Period: Last week of June 2013
Place: Marciana Marina, Elba Island, Mediterranean Sea
Duration: four days (1st day registration, and 3 days of races)
Possibility of leaving the boat in Marciana Marina before/after the Event: yes
Possibility to find berth in other places with a nearby airport served by low coast flight (Sardinia, Sicily...) for leaving the boat during the winter: yes
Participation fees: about Euro 400 for S&S Swans up to 44 feet, about E. 500 for S&S Swans from 47 feet up

We are now dealing with the Marciana Marina HQ in order to have special fares if some foreigner S&S Swan owners wants to keep his/her Swan in Elba for a longer period.

Dear Matteo,

Thank you indeed for the news. I think it is wise to start the mental preparation early as well as the many practicalities that go with it, especially for member who are locate quite far from the Med like myself.

It is also wise to try to negotiate "fair" prices with the management of the Marina or other marinas nearby.

I am sure that many "far away" members might attend the rendez-vous if viable possibilities for managing the boats "parking" were given.

I am working with the Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina in order to have special fares for those S&S Swan Owners who are coming to the Rendez-vous from abroad, and would like to keep their boat in Marciana Marina before/after the S&S Swan Rendez-vous.
